Let’s walk barefoot….!

Could you go a whole day without shoes? What if it meant you could raise awareness for BLOG3_TOMSIIchildren’s health and education? Well, you can do both! On Tuesday, walk to campus, go to work or run your errands BAREFOOT. Let those feetsies and toesies breathe for the day and help TOMS raise awareness for the children. TOMS created a video to show how they made an impact with schools, companies and people across 50 countries last year.

Help me spread the word about this amazing event sponsored by TOMS and go barefoot with me and all my friends and coworkers on Tuesday. Here in Eugene, it’s supposed to be absolutely beautiful: 72 degrees and sunny!

You can help spread the word by going barefoot and telling your followers on social media platforms such as Twitter. I actually tweeted @TOMS just yesterday about this event and they retweeted me and 20 people retweeted it along with 14 people favoriting my tweet. That is the most action I’ve EVER gotten on one tweet, it felt pretty awesome if I’d say so myself.BLOG3_TOMSI

So! I hope to see all my fellow classmates, friends, family and coworkers walking barefoot as they go about their daily lives. Help me, and help TOMS raise awareness for children’s health and education.

Until next time,

Lingerie, panties and bras. After hearing these words, Victoria’s Secret instantly pops into every girl’s mind. Now, ready for the exciting news? The annual fashion show is packing up and going to London! I can hear the screaming girls all the way from Oregon. This will be the first time in company history that the VS crew, models and show producers will make their way over the Atlantic for one of the most high-profile marketing events of 2014. According to Columbus Business First, VS has considered making the move across the big pond as far back as 1998, but CEO Ed Razek said the company wasn’t well enough known.

On Tuesday, Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel made an appearance at London’s flagship location, the Bond Street store, along with Razek to announce the exciting news. Just imagine how crazy girls were going when they heard! According to ‘The Big Story’ on ap.org, the event will be held at Earls Court in the fall and telecast from CBS on December 2. Get ready London; an incredible event is coming your way.

Lima believes that this is the biggest fashion show in the world, and trust me, many girls think so too. After the VS show this winter, I think it’s likely that Victoria’s Secret will be more present internationally, and I think that the company will gain much more exposure by making this big international push. In recent years, Los Angeles, Miami and New York have hosted the event, and 192 countries have broadcast it. That’s a copious amount of people watching; just imagine the pressure the models and crew have!

The VS fashion show always has the most exquisite angel wing creations, unique lingerie, amazing live performances by top entertainers and of course, the million-dollar bra. What will they come up with next? See you this winter VS!

Let the blogging begin!

All I want to do in life is create new things and share my ideas with the world and soak up the world around me. I seek out new inspiration all day, every day whether it’s from nature, people or my everyday surroundings. I want to be surrounded by the fashion industry because it’s an incredible niche and I want to be a part of creating and developing a brand. But mostly, I want everyone to be as excited as I am about this industry.

My blog will be focusing on creative and innovative public relations tactics involving fashion, design and event planning, along with current events and shows that are taking place in the fashion world. I’ve always wanted to start a blog but never had a clue of where to start. Now that I have new inspiration and a theme for my blog, I will be posting about stories and events that are relevant to the public communications world within the fashion industry. I look forward to getting started and expanding my knowledge about fashion communications and the fashion industry.

Until next time,
